Description
These easy skillet apples taste like warm apple pie, except they are so simple to make and much healthier. Perfect served with ice cream or yogurt, over pancakes or waffles, and stirred into oatmeal! Dairy-free, gluten-free, grain-free, and refined sugar-free.

- 2 apples, cut into small cubes
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon homemade or Fourth & Heart Madagascar Vanilla Bean Ghee
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Instructions
- Add apples and water to skillet. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally, until apples start to soften and water is absorbed.
- Add ghee, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Stir to combine.
- Cook for 5 more minutes with the lid off to caramelize and brown the apples.
- Remove from heat once apples are cooked through.
