Description
Everyone needs a go-to chili recipe – and this is it! This recipe is simple and delicious, packed with protein, and flavored with the perfect blend of spices. I promise, you won’t even miss the beans in this Paleo, Whole30 and Low Carb chili!

- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced in large chunks
- 1 green bell pepper, diced in large chunks
- 1 pasilla pepper, diced in large chunks
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 28 ounce can fire roasted diced tomatoes
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey, breaking up with a spoon. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
- Remove ground turkey with a slotted spoon and transfer to a plate or bowl.
- Add the remaining olive oil in the Dutch oven. Then, add the chopped onion, jalapeno and garlic, and saute until tender.
- Add the remaining diced peppers and saute until tender.
- Return the browned turkey to the Dutch oven and stir together. Add all the spices and tomato paste and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the diced tomatoes and stir all ingredients to combine.
- Cover with lid and let simmer for 20 minutes.
- Spoon chili into bowls, garnish with toppings, and enjoy!
Notes
- This chili comes together in only 20 minutes of cooking time. However, the longer the chili simmers, the more developed the flavors will be. So, if you would like to allow your chili to simmer longer, you absolutely can!
- I prefer fire roasted diced tomatoes for extra flavor in this chili, but you can use regular diced tomatoes as a substitute
