Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup cauliflower, steamed then frozen
- ¼ avocado
- 1 serving chocolate protein powder
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 Tablespoon almond butter
- 1 Tablespoon hemp seeds
- 1 handful spinach
- ⅓ cup strawberries
- 2 Tablespoons cacao powder
- 1 tsp maca powder
Instructions
Add all your ingredients to your blender of choice (high-speed or single-serve) and blend it up! Top with desired toppings.
Topping Ideas: Sliced strawberries and banana, walnuts, cacao nibs and coconut flakes
Notes
- Steaming the cauliflower makes it easier to digest and allowing it to freeze adds the perfect thick texture to smoothie bowls! I like to pre-steam my cauliflower florets and store them in the freezer so they’re ready whenever I want to add to a smoothie.
- I like using my homemade almond milk in smoothies, or you can use store-bought. You ideally want to find a clean brand without added sugar or gums!
- Raw maca powder will provide the most benefits, but if you have a sensitive stomach, the gelatinized version is easier to digest.
- I used my new favorite chocolate plant-based protein powder by Truvani, but you can substitute with any protein powder here! Truvani also makes a vanilla version.
