These bulletproof creamer bombs are paleo and keto, packed with healthy fats, and flavored with cacao and peppermint extract. They are the perfect way to add some holiday cheer to your morning bulletproof coffee or latte prep!

I’ve become obsessed with bulletproof lattes. You know what I’m not into? All the prep involved with putting them together. I take my morning routine very seriously around here and have no time to fuss with my latte!

The idea for my original bulletproof creamer bombs came to me after one extra sleepy morning when I spilled coconut oil all over the floor (try cleaning that up) – I was determined to find a simpler way to enjoy my beloved bulletproof latte. The original recipe is flavored with cinnamon and vanilla, and this peppermint mocha version is perfect for the holiday season!

What is bulletproof coffee?

Bulletproof coffee, also known as butter coffee or keto coffee, is essentially coffee with added healthy fats.

The idea behind bulletproof coffee is that instead of filling your coffee with added carbohydrates like milk and sugar, you are fueling your body with nutrient-dense and blood sugar stabilizing ingredients. This sets you up to have less caffeine jitters and provides you with a sustainable energy boost that will last for hours.

What do you need to make bulletproof creamer bombs?

These bulletproof creamer bombs are packed with gut-healing and metabolism boosting ingredients to fuel your body for the day ahead!

  • Almond Milk or Coconut Milk – The type of non-dairy milk you use is up to you. I prefer to use coconut milk in this bulletproof creamer recipe. It’s thick and creamy and is a great substitute for heavy cream.
  • Coconut Oil – It contains healthy fatty acids and is known to have antimicrobial effects that can ward off harmful pathogens like bacteria, viruses and fungi (1).
  • Ghee or Grass-Fed Butter – This provides an additional healthy fat along with a nutty caramelized flavor.
  • Cacao Powder – Rich in polyphenols and antioxidants. This provides a mocha flavor!
  • Peppermint Extract – This gives the bulletproof creamer a festive peppermint taste.
  • Silicone ice cube molds or these snowflake ice cube molds – These silicone molds are used to freeze the bulletproof creamer bombs in individual servings.

What is Ghee?

Ghee (also known as clarified butter) has nutty caramelized flavor. Ghee made with milk from grass-fed cows is loaded with healthy, fat-soluble Vitamins A, D, E and K. It’s a great option for anyone on a dairy-free diet since the milk solids are removed.

How do you make a peppermint mocha with these bulletproof creamer bombs?

Ready to add some holiday cheer to your bulletproof coffee or butter coffee? These bulletproof creamer bombs provide a gut-healing, metabolism boost to start your day. Not to mention, they taste amazing! Creamy, frothy, chocolate, peppermint goodness. Let’s make them!

Individual Coffee or Latte Preparation

  • Add ingredients to a saucepan and warm over low heat.
  • Blend with a stick blender or carefully pour into a high-speed blender. Blend for a few seconds, until frothy and combined.
  • Pour into silicon ice cub molds and allow to cool before transferring to the freezer.
  • Freeze overnight until completely frozen and set.
  • Remove from molds and store in a freezer bag in the freezer.

How do you use bulletproof creamer bombs?

Follow these simple steps when you’re ready to enjoy a bulletproof peppermint mocha:

  • Take 2 bulletproof creamer bombs out of the freezer and add to a mug of hot coffee or tea
  • Gently stir while the bombs melt (this should take a few seconds)
  • Optional: Add 1 scoop of collagen peptides (Further Food is my favorite) and stir again
  • Froth with a handheld frother, my favorite milk frother (it is non-toxic with no non-stick coating!), or blend in a blender for a few seconds

  • 2 bulletproof creamer bombs
  • Optional: 1 scoop collagen peptides
  • 812 ounces prepared coffee or tea

Instructions
